INEC registers two more political parties -

Two new political parties were yesterday registered by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
INEC  made this known in a statement in Abuja yesterday  by  Mrs Chinwe Ogakwu, Secretary  of the  Commission.
The two parties registered were  the Independent Democrats (ID) and the Peoples Democratic Movement (PDM).
According to the commission, the two new parties were registered in accordance  with the provisions of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as Amended) and the Electoral Act 2010 (as Amended).
Ogakwu also stated that the Constitution, Manifesto, Logo, Flag and list of National Executive Officers of  both parties have also been approved by INEC.
