Governor Murtala Nyako has repudiated campaign posters currently being posted at strategic locations within the state capital purporting his intention to contest the 2015 Presidential election.

The governor declared the release of these posters as a wicked act by his traducers who want to pitched him against the President as the battle for the control of the soul of the Adamawa State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) intensifies.

Nyako made his position known via a press statement signed by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Mallam Ahmed Sajoh stating that unscrupulous mischief makers were responsible for the posters which insinuate a presidential ambition.

The statement read:
”The attention of Adamawa State Government has been drawn to the activities of unscrupulous mischief makers who have printed posters of his Excellency Governor Murtala Nyako portraying him to be nursing 2015 General Elections.

“The posters are false, and malicious fabrications of demented minds who are hell bent on tarnishing the name and image of the Governor further distracting him from delivering the dividends of democracy to the good people of Adamawa state’’.

Nyako said it was unfortunate that some enemies of the state have continued to malign the governor at any turn since he assumed office and can go to the extreme of falsehood to harm the governor’s interest and by large the interest of the state as a whole without giving a hoot as long as their odious and selfish goals are attained.
