PDP Constitutes Disciplinary Committee - disnaija.com

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,  Monday announced members of it’s National disciplinary committee in a bid to ensure erring party members are disciplined.


The Chairman of the Party disciplinary committee is Dr. Umaru Dikko and the members are to be inaugurated by the National Chairman of the Party, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur.

The party said, “In Pursuant to the provisions of Articles 57 (1), (2), (3) of the Constitution of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the leadership of the party has approved the composition of the PDP National Disciplinary Committee.”

Members of the Committee are as follows:

1.      Dr. Umaru Dikko                       –            Chairman

2.      King A.J. Turner                       –             Deputy Chairman

3.      Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu       –       Member

4.      Alh. Shuaibu Oyedokun             –           Member

5.      Hajiya Nana Ayishat Kadiri          –         Member

6.      Barr. Hussaini Diraki                  –           Member

7.      Sen. Emmanuel Agboti              –            Secretary


The statement added, “the Committee shall be inaugurated by the National Chairman, Alhaji Dr. Bamanga Tukur CON at a date to be announced later.”

Umaru Dikko is a Nigerian politician and was a trusted adviser to President Shehu Shagari. He was also the Nigerian Minister for Transportation from 1979-1983.

He became active in governance in 1967, when he was appointed as a commissioner in the then North Central State of Nigeria.
