Renewed conflict on Kumbul village in Wase Local Government Area in Plateau state has seen to the death of five persons with several others seriously injured in the process, eyewitness say.
The attackers unleashed terror on the community in the early hours of Sunday leading to the burning down of several houses.
According to the spokesperson of the special task force in Plateau, Captain Salisu Mustapha, who confirmed the attack, he said only one person, was killed.
Wase Local Government has witnessed several attacks of recent, in April 18 persons were reported killed and several others injured in that local government.
Over 300 women and children have fled the community in the past due to the conlicts and continued attack of the village by unknown gunmen.
Cattle rustling has been one of the major causes of outbreak of violence in the area.
