As season three of the Nigerian Idol draws to a close, former Chocolate City singer and producer, Jesse Jagz, was recently at the Lagos’ Dream Studio of the show as guest judge and performer.

During the show, Jesse, was on stage to perform for the first time his new single Desire, which showcased the newly unleashed Jesse. The reggae-inflected track showed both his singing and rapping skills, and had the audience, idol hopefuls and judges grooving.

With just three more shows left until the next Nigerian Idol is crowned, it was an off-the-chart weekend for the show. Not only was the comeback queen Safeeyat saved by the judges (Jeffrey Daniel, Yinka Davies and Femi Kuti), the remaining contestants gave the performances of their lives.

With Abasiakan’s stunning take on Lemar’s Invincible, Debbie Rise rendered a sizzling performance of Tiwa Savage’s Kele Kele Love and there was Moses’ jaw-dropping performance of Peace by Asa.

To celebrate one of the greatest musicians of Nigerian heritage of all time, the top five sang a medley of songs from songstress Sade including Sweetest Taboo and Smooth Operator.

The night was hosted by Ill Rhymz.
