An application filed by Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited, seeking to restrain FAAN and its agents from taking possession of the four-star hotel and conference centre at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja, has been dismissed by the Federal High Court in Lagos.
The ruling came following FAAN’s termination of the leases on the two projects, due to breaches committed by Bi-Courtney in the agreements related to the two projects.

According to a statement by the General Manager, Corporate Communications FAAN, Mr Yakubu Datti, Bi-Courtney made that application without notifying FAAN, in its traditional style of getting court injunctions behind the Authority, in virtually all the cases involving the two organizations.

FAAN in a recent press release had announced the termination of two leases granted Bi-Courtney Aviation Services for the development and management of a four-star hotel and conference centre at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja, due to breaches committed by Bi-Courtney in the execution of the two projects.

The termination notice according to FAAN was given in accordance with the terms of agreement for the two leases. The termination of the leases meant that the demised premises, in respect of the two projects, had reverted automatically to FAAN.
