The Federal Government has accepted a proposal for the replacement of Voters\u2019 Cards with the National Identity Card.<\/p>\n

The Minister of Information Labaran Maku told State House Correspondents after Wednesday\u2019s Federal Executive Council Meeting in Abuja that the step is in line with the recommendation of the Independent National Electoral Commission.<\/p>\n

He noted that the new policy will save cost and it is less cumbersome.\u00a0Report shows, the old Voters card will last for less than ten years.<\/p>\n
