The hot trio of Nigeria\u2019s 2Face\u00a0Idibia,\u00a0Davido, Ice Prince,\u00a0and South Africa\u2019s\u00a0Professor\u00a0will be headlining the MTV Africa All Stars gig holding on 13 April at The Marquee, Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos.<\/p>\n
The gig, put together by The KwaZulu-Natal Province\u00a0is part of the new pan-Africa music and youth empowerment campaign that salutes the star quality and widespread appeal of contemporary African musicians.<\/p>\n
Alex Okosi, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Africa, said MTV Base is delighted to partner with KwaZulu-Natal to bring the\u00a0MTV Africa All Stars\u00a0concept to Africa and the world.\u00a0\u201dMTV Africa All Stars\u00a0will further establish KwaZulu-Natal as a world class destination for culture, music and business. Through engaging live events, television specials and digital activations,\u00a0MTV Africa All Stars\u00a0offers a range of diverse platforms through which music fans can connect with and experience the extraordinary talent, variety and craftsmanship of the continent\u2019s most exciting contemporary musicians,\u201d Okosi said.<\/p>\n
The\u00a0MTV Africa All Stars\u00a0tour kicked off in Durban, South Africa on 28 March, before moving on to Nairobi, Kenya on 5 April.\u00a0It will culminate with a\u00a0concert in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, on 18 May that will be headlined by\u00a0multi-platinum rapper\u00a0Snoop Lion, aka\u00a0Snoop Dogg.<\/p>\n
The rapper will perform alongside the most popular contemporary artists from across the African continent\u00a0at Moses Mabhida Stadium, People\u2019s Park, Durban.<\/p>\n
Some of Nigeria\u2019s favourite DJs,\u00a0DJ Jimmy Jatt, DJ Caise\u00a0and\u00a0DJ Sose\u00a0have been added to the\u00a0\u00a0Lagos leg of the ultimate urban music tour.<\/p>\n
