MADUABUCHI NMERIBEH\/Kano<\/strong><\/p>\n

A Kano-based businessman, Abdullahi Abdulkadir was reportedly killed by gunmen Sunday night in Kano, northwest Nigeria, according to security sources.<\/p>\n

The victim, a prominent car-dealer in the commercial city was said to have been attacked close to his family house, located behind Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, AKTH, on Zaria Road.<\/p>\n

His attackers who trailed him to the point he was killed were believed to be members of the Boko Haram sect whose activities in the North economic nerve centre have continued to generate concern, especially, among non-natives and non-muslims.<\/p>\n

Abdullahi was shot in the head, according to our source, as he was about entering in his house having closed for the day\u2019s business.<\/p>\n

The gun men were said to have escaped in a tricycle after the dastradly act.
Several shots from the gun men scared residents of the area who scampered for safety until the arrival of security team who cordoned off the area in search of suspects.<\/p>\n

The Commander of Mopol 9, Hotoro, Dahiru Majia was killed by gunmen in similar circumstance two months ago.<\/p>\n
