Nigerian international, Sunday Mba has departed for Angola ahead of Sunday’s second leg, second round Caf Champions League clash against Angolan club, Recreativo do Libolo.

The Rangers contingent travelled on Thursday without Mba who was held up as a result of irregularities with his travel papers.

However, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has now confirmed that the irregularities have been sorted out with the player now set to leave for Angola on Saturday morning.

“Mba had problems with his papers but I can confirm that he has now received his international passport and a visa from the Angolan embassy. He is now free to travel for the game,” NFF technical committee chairman, Barrister Chris disclosed.

The 24-year-old has been a subject of an intense transfer battle between Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) clubs, Warri Wolves and Enugu Rangers.

The first leg game between Rangers and Wolves ended in a goalless draw.
