{"id":3587,"date":"2013-05-13T08:26:10","date_gmt":"2013-05-13T08:26:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/disnaija.com\/nigeria-news\/samsung-announces-5g-data-breakthrough\/"},"modified":"2013-05-13T08:26:10","modified_gmt":"2013-05-13T08:26:10","slug":"samsung-announces-5g-data-breakthrough","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/disnaija.com\/samsung-announces-5g-data-breakthrough\/","title":{"rendered":"Samsung announces 5G data breakthrough"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"fb-like-box\" data-href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/DisNaija\" data-width=\"292\" data-show-faces=\"false\" data-stream=\"false\" data-header=\"true\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"fb-like\" data-href=\"http:\/\/disnaija.com\" data-send=\"true\" data-width=\"200\" data-show-faces=\"false\" data-action=\"recommend\"><\/div>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p>Samsung Electronics said Monday it had successfully tested super-fast fifth-generation (5G) wireless technology that would eventually allow users to download an entire movie in one second.<\/p>\n<p>The South Korean giant said the test had witnessed data transmission of more than one gigabyte per second over a distance of two kilometres.<\/p>\n<p>The new technology, which will not be ready for the commercial market before 2020 at the earliest, would offer transmitting speeds &#8220;up to several hundred times faster&#8221; than existing 4G networks, it said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe 5G wireless technology will permit users to transmit massive data files including high quality digital movies practically without limitation.
