Godfrey Oboabona\u00a0has told\u00a0MTNFootball.com he will stop Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez “Chicharito” in a friendly against Mexico.<\/p>\n

The high-profile match will be played in Houston, Texas, in the United States of America on Friday night, which will be 2am Nigerian time on Saturday.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I could stop players in the calibre of Didier Drogba, Yaya Youre, Gervinho at the Nations Cup, I can’t be afraid to face any striker in the world. I will do my best to stop Chicharito and Giovanni dos Santos,\u201d Oboabona told MTNFootball.com from Houston.<\/p>\n

\u201cBoth players are unarguably world-class strikers and they are very deadly but marking out Drogba has boosted my confidence not to fear any striker.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cWe are also looking forward to an interesting match that will boost our confidence ahead of the World Cup qualifiers against Kenya and Namibia because that is the main thing all Nigerians are eagerly waiting for, but we will also give our best to maintain our record against the Mexicans.”<\/p>\n

Super Eagles midfielder Sunday Mba further told MTNFootball.com they will go for broke against the CONCACAF champions.<\/p>\n

The AFCON 2013 hero said the Eagles will give as much as they get even though they are without several players due to injury and club engagements.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are here for business, though it is a friendly winning this match will send the right signal to our World Cup qualifiers opponents that we are coming to get the ticket,\u201d Mba told MTNFootball.com.<\/p>\n

Both teams are using this game to also prepare for the FIFA Confederations Cup, which will be staged by Brazil next month.<\/p>\n
