The Managing Director of Smartpoly Products Ltd and Tokslordmart Ltd, Martins Adams, who was abducted along with his seven-year old son\u00a0 last Sunday, has been released. His son, Ireoluwa, was also released.<\/p>\n

Adams and his son were abducted by gunmen at the company\u2019s premises along the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.<\/p>\n

Adams spoke with P.M.NEWS<\/em> this afternoon from his home to confirm his release. He refused to confirm whether money was paid to his abductors for his release.\u00a0 He also declined to narrate his experience in the hands of his abductors but promised to speak with P.M.NEWS<\/em> later.<\/p>\n

His wife, Mrs. Tokunbo Adams who spoke with P.M.NEWS<\/em> earlier was happy about her husband\u2019s release. She happily gave her phone to him to confirm his release to us.<\/p>\n

Police sources at Elere Station in Agege, Lagos also confirmed to P.M.NEWS<\/em> that Adams and his son were released yesterday evening.<\/p>\n

Though his wife and employees refused to confirm his kidnap, police sources at Elere Station in Agege confirmed to P.M.NEWS<\/em> yesterday that a report on his abduction was lodged at the station on Tuesday by a director of the company.<\/p>\n

The director told the police that Adams and members of his family were accosted within the company\u2019s premises on 298, Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway on Sunday when they returned from the church by gun wielding men.<\/p>\n

The gunmen, the director wrote, tied the wife and covered Adams\u2019 mouth with a piece of cloth. They later transferred Adams and his son to their vehicle and sped away. The kidnappers later demanded for the payment of N30 millon ransom.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe learnt that the gunmen followed the family into the company premises which also served as their residence immediately they arrived from the church on Sunday in their car.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey covered the man\u2019s mouth with a cloth and tied the wife. They later transferred the man and his son from the car to their waiting car. At the gate, they told the gateman to go inside and untie the wife, and sped off,\u201d the police officer told P.M.NEWS<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The gateman who was suspected to be part of the kidnap plot, it was gathered, took the phone and the visitor\u2019s register at the gate away and fled.<\/p>\n
