Despite the directive by the pro-Biafra group, the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB to sit at home to mourn Igbos killed in northern states by Boko Haram, the people of Enugu went about their normal businesses today.
The state police command on Wednesday issued a statement following apprehension among the people over the sit-at-home order warning those trying to cause confusion in the state.
There was apprehension among the people over the sit-at-home order but there was no compliance as the people went about their normal businesses.
Security was beefed up in parts of the state to contain any disturbance by the MASSOB members.
Eye witness account says the capital city was calm with many traders doing their normal businesses as\u00a0 markets were opened to traders and buyers.<\/p>\n
