We promised to share reports from our fact finding tour around Imo. In the first of our series, we are bringing you the progress report on the construction and dualization of\u00a0 Orlu – Ideato road.<\/h3>\n

In September last year, \u00a0the road caved in at Mgbee town as a result of an erosion. The federal road serves as a commuter route to Anambra State. Indigenes of the community told IMO STATE BLOG<\/strong> that news of the erosion did not come as a surprise as it had shown signs of an imminent erosion.<\/h3>\n

The first photograph below was sent to us when the disaster occurred.<\/h3>\n

As you can see, construction is still on-going. When completed, the new dual carriage way will serve to improve traffic flow and safety on both lanes.<\/h3>\n
