The Chairman of the Lebanese community in Kano, Tahir Fadallah, has sued the Leadership Newspapers in a 10 billion naira suit for allegedly defaming him in a report on May 31, 2013, with a headline: \u201cOwners of Amigo Stores, Tahir Guest Palace arrested\u201d.ver the arms cache discovered at a building in Kano.<\/div>\n

Mr. Fadallahi also included his hotel, Tahir Guest palace as a co-plaintiff at a Kano High Court.<\/div>\n

The Newspaper was sued alongside one Baba El-Nafaty as defendants.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Mr. Fadallah\u2019s lawyer, Ahmad Raji, in the writs of summons stated that the publication in question is \u201cmalicious and damaging to the hard earned reputation of the plaintiffs.\u201d<\/div>\n

In the suit, Mr. Fadallah is asking the court for an injunction restraining the Newspaper or thier agents from further publishing any defamatory words against the reputation of the plaintiffs and a100 Million Naira cost of litigation in addition to the N10 billion damages sought.<\/div>\n

The Lebanese Consular office in Kano has however issued a statement signed by its Acting Consulate, Khalil Musliman, stating that one of the suspects arrested in connection with the discovery is not a Lebanese, but a Sierra Leonean citizen named Abdul Hassan Taheer.<\/div>\n
