Nigeria is to be represented by a nineteen-man contingent at the IAAF World Championships scheduled to hold in Moscow, Russia in August.<\/p>\n

Technical Director of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN), Navy Commodore Omatseye Nesiama who released the list Sunday, named Blessin Okagbare, who ran in the final of the one hundred metres events of the last edition in Daegu, South Korea as one of the top athletes Nigeria is fielding at the Championships<\/p>\n

The Beijing Olympic bronze medalist in women\u2019s long jump is also listed to compete in the two hundred metres and her specialty, the long jump.<\/p>\n

Gloria Asumnu, who picked the silver behind Okagbare in Calabar was listed too having made the \u2018A\u2019 standard of the Championships.<\/p>\n

leading the male sprinters who have made the \u2018B\u2019 entry standard of the summit of track and field in Moscow is Oghoghene Egwero who won the sprint events at the just concluded sixty-seventh Cross River all Nigeria Championships at the U.J Esuene Stadium in Calabar.<\/p>\n

Others listed to run in the four hundred and eight hundred on probation include U.S.A-based Noah Akwu and Leoman Momoh.<\/p>\n

Nesiama disclosed the athletes close to the IAAF qualification mark for Moscow 2013 were given three weeks grace to qualify for their individual and Team events.<\/p>\n
