If verbal missiles coming from the camp of boxing Cruiser weight contender, Dauda Mohammed who is billed to fight Police Pugilist, Ekeng Henshaw on 7 July at the Brai Ayonote Boxing Gym of the National Stadium Surulere, Lagos are anything to go by then the police boxer is in for a raw deal.

Dauda in a chat P.M.NEWS boxing In Focus said he wants the Inspector General of Police, IG Mohammed Abubaka to send an ambulance or a coffin because he is ready to knockout his Henshaw

The Cruiserweight contender fired his first missile thus “I am appealing to the IG who happens to be my name sake, I know he would be busy on that day so he won’t be able to come and see the blows that would hit Henshaw, but he should please send an ambulance or send a coffin to convey the remains of one his boys because I would beat him blue black that he won’t be able to walk out of the ring by himself, thus he would need his police colleagues to get him to the hospital, that is if he still alive.”

Reacting to Dauda’s threat Henshaw said “He is just ranting, no cause for alarm on my part, I’m well trained for bouts like these and I’m going to teach him some boxing lessons on that day, I know he would kiss the canvas because I’m going for knockout mission. After I must have dealt with him I know next time he sees a policeman walking on the streets he would go into hiding.”

The boxing bout is being put together by the Nigerian Boxing Board of Control, NBB of C, and it is tagged “Heavies In Bloodbath.” Other bouts lined up for the day are: the current Nigeria Heavy Champion Adewale Abe aka Tiger who has been given an ultimatum by the NBB of C to fight his challenger, Onoriede Ehiwarieme in an 8 rounds bout or he would be stripped of his title.

President of the NBB of C, Dr Godwin Kanu said “at our Executive meeting, it was resolved that we should give Abe the chance of a warm up bout that he wants against the same opponent Ehiwarieme, but if he doesn’t show up on that day, the Board would have no choice than to collect the title from him.”

General Secretary of the NBB of C, Remi Aboderin informed that there would also be a 12 round Super Middleweight title bout between Jude Ilo and Bassey Ekpeyong; 8 8ounds Featherweight challenge bout between Waidi Usman and Michael Joseph, 6 round Welter weight challenge between debutant Jamiu Animashaun and Tope Berinja, and another 6Round challenge bout involving Afini Abiodun and Big Ben Ifemesia.

The show is being packaged for NBBof C by Freels and Threels Boxing Promotions.
