\"\"Olympic champion Usain Bolt have sent out a strong warning to his challengers by running a world-leading time of 19.73 seconds over 200 metres to win the Paris Diamond League event Yesterday.<\/strong><\/em> The world record holder eased to the finish line to better American Tyson Gay’s leading mark by 0.01 seconds, just one month before the world championships in Moscow. Home favourite Christophe Lemaitre, who won the world bronze two years ago, finish third in 20.07 with Jamaican Warren Weir second in 19.92. In the women’s 100m, Olympic champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce held off a fast finishing Nigerian Blessing Lkagbare to win in 10.92 seconds. Another Olympic champion, Aries Merritt, was also pushed in the men’s 110m hurdles before coming home in 13.09 which was a season’s best for the world-record holder by 0.14 of a second. Kirani James also underlined his favouritism for gold at next month’s world championships in Moscow with an impressive season’s best run in the men’s 400m. The champion from last year’s Olympics in London, Grenada’s James clocked 43.96 seconds, his second-ever sub-44 second race to win from American rival LaShawn Merritt. The women’s high jump and women’s shot put was won by reigning Olympic champions. Russian Anna Chichevrova jumping 2.01 metres to win the high jump while New Zealand’s double Olympic gold medallist Valerie Adams threw 20.62 to easily win the shot put.<\/p>\n
