A house maid, Miss Christiana Jonah has been arraigned before an Ikeja Magisterate’s court, Lagos, southwest Nigeria, for allegedly stealing over N10.3 million belonging to her boss, Mrs Adeola Yusuf.<\/p>\n

Christiana was alleged to have stolen cash, gold wristwatch, jewellery, coral beads, perfume spray, and women scarfs belonging to her boss.<\/p>\n

These offences are punishable under section 409, 285(1),(2) of the criminal laws of Lagos State, Nigeria 2011.<\/p>\n

When the charge was read to the accused, she pleaded not guilty.<\/p>\n

The presiding Magistrate Mrs B.O. Osunsanmi admitted her to bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.<\/p>\n

The magistrate ordered that the two sureties must have affidavits of means.<\/p>\n

The case was adjourned till 5 August, 2013.<\/p>\n
