Highly rated British Referee, Howard Webb, has backed the introduction of goal-line technology in the English Premier Legue this season.<\/p>\n

Webb also believes that the game is moving in the right direction given the level of respect now accorded match officials by players.<\/p>\n

The comment by Webb comes as the last batch of young referees were put through their paces as part of official training sessions organised by the English Referees Association on Monday.<\/p>\n

Referees Association Chairman, Davi Elleray, is confident that the exercise will ensure that the next generation of officials is of an elite standard.<\/p>\n
