Barcelona have confirmed that they will honor their contract with Tito Vilanova, which implies that he will continue to be receive his wages in the final year of his \u00a36.5million contract as he recovers from cancer treatment for the third time.<\/p>\n

\u201cMartino\u2019s signing will be at an added cost, since Tito Vilanova will be with us,\u201d Vice-president Javier Faus said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are sad to have this situation because of Tito\u2019s disease, but we must accept it.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to reports, Vilanova could return to the club and continue in a position with less stress, when he completes his treatment in New York.<\/p>\n

He has already undergone surgery in Barcelona, to try and deal with his cancer of the parotid gland in the throat on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
