THE Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI) will today make public the comprehensive audit reports of Nigeria Extractive Industries covering the period 2009 to 2011 for the oil and gas sector and 2007 to 2010 for the solid minerals sector. <\/p>\n

   A statement signed by the Director, Communications, NEITI, Orji Ogbonnaya Orji, said the key findings and recommendations obtained after the comprehensive audits of the extractive industries would be presented to stakeholders today (Monday, July 29, 2013) at Rockview Hotel, Abuja.<\/p>\n

  According to him, the purpose of the audits was to establish revenue flows, quantity of productions and appraise the governance processes in the sector; a comprehensive report on company\u2019s payments and government\u2019s receipt, institutional and governance issues in the industries.<\/p>\n

  The Minister of Finance, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is expected to present a keynote address at the event while the Chairman of NEITI Board, Ledum Mitte and the Executive Secretary, Zainab Ahmed will present the reports.<\/p>\n
