The Presidency has told the governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) threatening to dump the party to think twice.<\/p>\n

The Presidency told the governors that it is political suicidal to dump a winning platform.<\/p>\n

It said that President Goodluck Jonathan had not decided to seek re-election in 2015, adding that if he decides to do so, nobody would defeat him Addressing journalists yesterday in Abuja at the PDP national secretariat, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe, said: \u201cThe five Northern governors, who have been going round the country visiting former Presidents and Heads of State, have their personal agenda, but only using Rivers State political problem as a camouflage.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou must understand that these governors have their own agenda; they have already set the agenda long before now.<\/p>\n

They are just using the Rivers State scenario as an excuse. \u201cNone of these governors, as you can see for yourself, is prepared to move. What they are trying to do is to move around and ensure that they are heard.<\/p>\n

There is nowhere else to go. There are more than enough reasons for people to leave, but you know, you don\u2019t leave a winning platform, politically it is suicidal.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe real thing is politicking by people with serious interest in the polity or who have agenda they want to make sure manifest by hook or by crook. They are going all over the country, trying to mobilise support for what they want to do.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf the President decides to run, nobody can beat him, it is not possible. The calculations are in his favour, the odds are in his favour, the national supports are in his favour, the performance index is in his favour.\u201d<\/p>\n
