The fate of Italy\u2019s Ruling Coalition is left in the balance as a result of the Supreme Court upholding the tax fraud conviction against Former Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi.<\/p>\n

The seventy-six year old reacted angrily to the decision of the Supreme Court to reject a final appeal against his conviction, stating his innocence and accusing Magistrates of persecuting him since his entry into politics.<\/p>\n

He is unlikely to have to serve the jail term because of his age and so the court ordered part of the original sentence.<\/p>\n

He has however said he would continue his political activities under his first party, Forza Italia, and Press for a reform in the Justice system.<\/p>\n
