Emergency official on Thursday said twenty-nine people, including two who survived by clinging to a cooking gas cylinder, have been rescued after a boat capsized off Malabo, Equatorial Guinea waterways, about 40 nautical miles off the coast of Calabar, Cross River State, last week with about 166 people on board.<\/p>\n

According to the head of Cross Rivers State Emergency Management Agency, Vincent Aquah: “We have 29 survivors so far from the (Friday) boat accident.”<\/p>\n
According to eyewitnesses, the passengers were travelling in a \u2018giant-sized wooden boat\u2019 from Oron in Akwa Ibom State to Gabon, when it capsized on the Malabo waterways.<\/p>\n
