Mobil Producing Nigeria has selected seven coaches to help fine tune the skills of the athletes at the holiday training programme organised by the company.<\/p>\n

The president of the Athletics Coaches of Nigeria, Gabriel Okon, described the selected coaches as the best for the programmes.<\/p>\n

The coaches include Lucas Ogunjimi, who is a Professor of Human Kinetics and Health Education, Oladimeji Sule, a triple and long jump specialist and Ken Onaguluchi, an expert in the throwing events.<\/p>\n

Two women coaches, Armelia Edet and Utit Ofon Nkantah are also in the team. While Armelia was national athletics coach for over five years before her retirement, Utit Ofon, a former Nigerian and African record holder in 100 and 200 metres is a specialist in coaching children.<\/p>\n

Coach Solomon Abari completes the team. He was one of the coaches that trained Nigeria\u2019s relay quartet to the eventual gold medal in the year 2000 Sydney Olympics. He is currently the director coaching at the National Institute of Sports in Lagos.<\/p>\n
