JETHRO IBILEKE\/Benin<\/strong><\/p>\n Yeni Kuti, eldest daughter of late Afro beat legend, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, has said it was wrong for Nigerians to expect change when the country is being led by leaders who are not only old but who give bad examples to the younger generations.<\/p>\n Yeni who spoke in Benin on the topic “Understanding Fela, his music and message to the Youth,” at a symposium organised by Women’s Health and Action Research Centre, (WHARC), to mark the International Youth Day, said Nigerian leaders were teaching the youths that corruption pays by allowing corrupt officials walk free.<\/p>\n She noted that Nigeria will make progress when young people are allowed to take position of leadership.<\/p>\n She therefore, urged the youths to emulate her father by speaking and singing songs against societal ills and the evils in the land. <\/p>\n
