By Citizens Platform<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n President Goodluck Jonathan had a closed-door meeting with\u00a0the nation\u2019s security chiefs\u00a0on Monday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.<\/p>\n Sources say the meeting was a routine one and was called to appraise the security situation in the country across all spheres.<\/p>\n The three-hour long meeting assessed the emergency rule in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe states as well as the raging issue of oil theft that has depleted the nation revenue base.<\/p>\n Present at the meeting were the Chief of Defence Staff, Ola Said; Chief of\u00a0Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Dele Ezeoba; Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar, and the Director-General of State\u00a0Security Service, Ita Ekpeyong.<\/p>\n Members of the Federal\u00a0Executive Council, who attended with the President were the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Pius Anyim; Minister of Police Affairs, Navy Captain Caleb Olubolade (retd.); Minister of State, Defence, Olusola Obada; and the\u00a0National Security Adviser, Col.
