The Chief Press Secretary to Governor Umaru Tanko Al-makura of Nasarawa state, Mallam Iliyasu Ali Yakubu said adequate preparation has been put in place to host the 11 governors belonging to the All Progressive Congress (APC), who are expected to attend the maiden meeting of the APC governors\u2019 forum as from tomorrow.\u00a0Mallam Iliyasu who stated this in a chat with some journalists in his office yesterday said conscious of the significance of the event; Governor Al-makura took it upon himself to supervise all the venues for the meeting, to make sure everything is in the right shape.
\u201cHis Excellency went round all the venues for the meeting this morning to ensure that everything is in place. Our level of preparation is one hundred percent\u201d, the CPS assured.<\/p>\n

He described the hosting of the maiden meeting of the governors of the APC as historic, stressing that the coming together of the governors of the newly registered APC in the state will open another vista in history of the country\u2019s democracy.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe APC is like a Tsunami that would sweep away anyone on its path, so when they agreed to meet here, it\u2019s a great honour and a privilege\u201d, he said.
The meeting, according to the Chief Press Secretary, would accord the governors the opportunity to consolidate on the recent gains made by the successful registration of the party by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Iliyasu maintained that the meeting would not only serve as a platform for Governor Al-makura to endear himself to the top echelon of the party, but also open up the state to more opportunities.
The CPS urged the people of the state to reciprocate by according the August visitors warm reception and by ensuring that the meeting holds peacefully.<\/p>\n
