Eminent Nigerians and foreign diplomats yesterday paid glowing tributes to late father of Governor of Lagos State, Pa Ademola Fashola, at the 8th day fidau prayer held in his honour.\u00a0Among the dignitaries who graced the occasion are the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, former Head of state, General Muhammadu Buhari and the Ex-Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.<\/p>\n

Also, Governors of Ogun, Kano, Adamawa, Edo, Osun, Kogi, Jigawa, Oyo and Niger states: Ibikunle Amosun, Mr. Rabiu Kwankwanso, Mr. Murtala Nyako, Adams Oshiomhole, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Mr. Idris Wada, Mr. Sule Lamido, Mr. Abiola Ajimobi and Mr. Babangida Aliyu respectively were present at the occasion to console their colleague and son of the deceased, Governor Babatunde Fashola.<\/p>\n

Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Alhaji Yayale Ahmed, former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Aminu Masari, ex-governor of Ekiti state, Mr. Adeniyi Adebayo, former governor of Yobe State, Alh. Adamu Alier0, Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Tom Ikimi, Publicity Secretary of the party, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, former Federal Commissioner, Alhaji Femi Okunnu and Chief Molade Okoya-Thomas, were among prominent politicians who thronged the venue of the programme.
Chief Executive Officer of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Otunba Subomi Balogun and Chief Rasaq Okoya topped the list of business moguls who prayed for the deceased.
Prayers were offered by various clerics for the peaceful repose of the deceased and continuous unity among the members of the Fashola family.<\/p>\n
