(AFP) \u2013 Five supporters of ousted president Mohamed Morsi and one policeman were killed in Egypt Friday, as clashes erupted in several cities between Islamist protesters and security forces.<\/p>\n
The five were killed in clashes with security forces in the Suez Canal city of Ismailiya, security officials said.<\/p>\n
In the capital, a police conscript was killed when a checkpoint was ambushed by armed men, a security official in Cairo said.<\/p>\n
The violence came as Islamists began marches in several cities in what they dubbed a \u201cFriday of anger\u201d to protest against the killing of hundreds of Morsi loyalists following a security crackdown on Wednesday .<\/p>\n
Gunfire was heard at the sites of at least two protests in Cairo as Morsi loyalists took to the streets in several parts of the capital.<\/p>\n
Others were out in the northern city of Alexandria, in Beni Sueif and Fayoum, south of Cairo, and in the Red Sea resort town of Hurghada.<\/p>\n
The interior ministry said it would take tough measures, including the use of live fire, if protesters attacked government buildings.<\/p>\n
