LESS  than two years after its formal takeoff, the privately owned Gregory University Uturu in Abia state has gotten the National Universities Commission (NUC) approval to commence degree courses in Medicine, Engineering, Agriculture and Environmental Sciences with effect from the 2013\/2014 academic session.<\/p>\n

 Consequently, the University Registrar Dr Austin Orisakwe in a press release made available to The Guardian on Friday, urged students desiring to study Medicine, Engineering, Agriculture and Environmental Sciences in Gregory University Uturu from 2013\/2014 academic session to apply for admission.<\/p>\n

 The release stated that, \u201cfinal approval for the commencement of programmes in the new colleges came after series of meticulous facility inspections by different teams of professors and other academic technocrats from the NUC.<\/p>\n
