\"\"Kaduna state Commander of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Mohammed Jibrin has decried the high rate at which hard drugs and other control substances are being peddled and hawked with impunity by young people around the state.<\/strong><\/em> In a statement, the commander said the agency has arrested not less than 30 persons mainly youths between the ages of 25 and 37 years for drug related offences in the last one month, adding that a total of 1.251 kilogram of cannabis and cocaine were impounded from drug addicts and peddlers, including the arrest of three brothers involved in the illicit business in Kaduna metropolis and Kagarko Local Government. He added that the agency in collaboration with NAFDAC has embarked on arrest of drug hawkers who use it as a cover up to sell other dangerous hard substances and however appealed to the Kaduna state government to assist the agency with logistics to enable it carry out its duties effectively.<\/p>\n
