Malian forward, Guindo Abdoulaye, is excited with his return to the Glo Premier League.

Abdoulaye has since scored twice against Heartland and Akwa United since joining Bayelsa United in his third campaign in the Nigerian league.

“It’s great to be back in Nigeria where I have many friends. I’ve played in my country, Gabon and Oman, but the standard in Nigeria is far better,” Abdoulaye told SuperSport.com.

Abdoulaye arrived Nigeria in 2009 to join Warri Wolves with compatriot, Adama Coulibaly. However, he left for Gabon’s US Bitam, but came back to play for Dolphins and Kwara United.

“Bayelsa United gaffer, Ladan Bosso, was with Wikki Tourists when I played for Wolves. I agreed to play for his team when the offer was made,” the Malian said to SuperSport.com.

The romance with United was cut short when he left for Omani side, Mirbat, in 2012.

Abdoulaye played for Jeanne D’arc Bamako in his native Mali and was invited to the CHAN side, under former Nigerian manager, Stephen Keshi.
