A former Minister of Defence, Dr. Chris Agbobu, on Saturday advised Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan and his team to speed up the development of Delta State.

Although he thanked the governor for the efforts made so far to develop the state, he said there were more areas still begging for attention.

He said Deltans were yearning to see action on certain critical sub-sectors of the state’s economy, adding that time was running fast in the last two years of the administration.

Agbobu spoke to our correspondent in Asaba after the inauguration of Criteria Stipulation Committee, which is saddled with the responsibility of selecting the best governorship candidate from Delta North Senatorial district in 2015.

He explained that the committee was charged with the responsibility of selecting a credible Anioma indigene for governorship race in 2015.

Chairman of the CSC, Chuks Ochonogor, also said, “Today’s inauguration is a milestone in our march towards the realisation of our dream to put a credible and acceptable person in the Government House in 2015.”
