Three Writers have been selected for the August\/September 2013 session of the Ebedi International Residency, Iseyin, Oyo State.<\/p>\n

The first writer, Khalid Imam is a 2008 graduate of the Bayero University Kano. His published works include a play ,Sodangi ( 2009), a poetry collection, The Song of San Kano (2010) and a Short Fiction, Letter to My Students (2010). Khalid currently teaches at Girls Science College, Garko, Kano State where he is also the Founder\/Coordinator of The Arts, Culture and Media Club. He has over the years used the Club to stimulate his students literary and cultural abilities. Khalid will use his Six Week stay in Ebedi to complete his forthcoming Novel, Bed of Thorns and also mentor secondary students in Iseyin on Culture and Media with special emphasis on Hausa Literature.<\/p>\n

The second writer, Julius Bokoru is based in Bayelsa State where he is the Publisher and Editor of the Izon Writers Review. He is also a columnist for the Niger Delta Herald, Port Harcourt Telegraph and the Yenogoa New Waves Newspaper. Julius was named in 2012 as one of the 50 most influential Bayelsans\u00a0 by the government of Bayelsa state for his literary contributions to the state. \u00a0A participant in the last edition of the Garden City Literary Festival Creative Writing and\u00a0 the Fidelity Bank International Creative Writing Workshops, Julius will be spending his time at Ebedi to complete his Poetry Collection, The Mad Woman Of Swali Market. He also hopes to organise Writing Workshops for selected secondary school students in Iseyin.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tosin Aniyikaye, a graduate of Yaba College of Technology where he studied Estate Management is the third writer. He is the author of a Children\u2019s Book, The Heir Rate. Tosin currently teaches at the Dee Ultimate Comprehensive High School in Lagos. He will be completing his Novel, The Eye Of A Needle at Ebedi and will also interact with other writers and students through whom, he hopes to learn how to be a better writer.<\/p>\n

The Ebedi Residency is a Private Facility for writers to complete their on going works in a serene and comfortable writing environment at no cost. In its third year of operation, the Residency has so far hosted over 30 writers within and outside Nigeria.<\/p>\n
