The state working Committee of Rivers State branch of PDP has expelled 14 Commissioners and other top officials \u00a0in a move seen as a ploy to prevent \u00a0those loyal to Governor Rotimi Amaechi from attending the National Convention of the party this weekend.
The immediate past Deputy National Chairman of the Party (South-South), \u00a0\u00a0Sam Jaja, \u00a0\u00a0the Secretary to the State Government, George Feyii and the Chief of Staff to the Governor of the state were also affected.
Also, the Sole Administrator of the Port Harcourt City Development Authority, Aleruchi Cookey-Gam was also affected.The development arose after \u00a0the Membership \u00a0Performance Evaluation committee \u00a0submitted its \u00a0report this morning.
The state chairman of the party , Chief Felix Obuah said they were \u00a0expelled for anti-party activities capable of dividing the party.<\/p>\n
