The just concluded primaries in Anambra state that threw up 2 candidates has been resolved by the party’s hierarchy. The PDP national chairman, Bamanga Tukur, stated this in Abuja on Monday while receiving the report of the party’s electoral panel chaired by Governor Ibrahim Shema of Katsina. The panel conducted the primary said it was won by Mr. Tony Nwoye.

As such the candidate going to be forwarded to INEC by the PDP is Nwoye and not Andy Uba in the November 16 elections.

The PDP has announced that its candidate for the November 16 Anambra governorship election is Tony Nwoye and not Uba

According to the panel the other primary, won by Mr. Uba, a serving senator, was conducted by the parallel chairman of the Anambra chapter of the PDP, Ejike Oguebeo. Another person, Ken Emeakayi, is the factional chairman of Anambra PDP recognised by the national secretariat.

Mr. Oguebeo is, however, recognised by the Independent National Electoral Commission as the Anambra PDP chairman.
